Amosil 220 is a precipitated amorphous silicon dioxide of polishing-thickening type with a high degree of purity, aggregation in the micrometric range, with a refractive index favorable for obtaining a translucent toothpaste. Bifunctional – in addition to good abrasiveness, it also has good thickening ability. In the food industry it is known as a food additive under the number E551 and is used mainly as an anti-caking and moisture-absorbing agent. It is registered in the EU Register of Feed Additives as E551 a – binding, anti-caking agents and coagulants. In industry it is used in the production of adhesives, lubricants, paints.
